SHOW ME YOUR COMPASS! Exciting new contest!
We're so close to the release of WARRIOR, and the BLADES OF THE ROSE series! With that in mind, I have a very exciting new contest with a prize I know you'll love.
Show me your compass! No member of the Blades of the Rose travels without their extremely important compass, and now it's time for YOU to join this daring band of explorers, scientists and adventurers as they find and protect the world's magic.
Between now and September 7, I want to see you and your compass. Tweet, blog and/or Facebook a photo of you, a compass, and a sign that reads: "Blades of the Rose, coming September 7." One very lucky winner will receive not one, not two, but ALL FOUR Blades of the Rose novels, signed by yours truly. There may be some extra surprise goodies with the books, too! I will pick a winner at random from all entries.
-If you tweet the photo, be sure to put @zoe_archer in your tweet
-If you Facebook the photo, be sure to tag Zoe Archer in the picture
-If you blog the photo, tag it as Zoe Archer, and please email me the link. zoe at zoearcherbooks dot com.

SCOUNDREL is PW's Pick of the Week!
Here is the awesome, starred review:
Scoundrel
Zoë Archer, Zebra, $6.99 (432p) ISBN 978-1-4201-0680-0
Archer follows 2010's Warrior with another delightful tale of an intelligent, competent woman sharing adventure and romance with a formidable partner. In this version of 19th-century Europe, rival secret societies battle over ancient sources of magic. Meek linguist London Harcourt is brought to Greece by her controlling, secretive father. After a chance meeting with the charming Bennett Day, London learns that her father and his companions want England to control the world's magic, while Bennett's group, the Blades of the Rose, is trying to return the artifacts to the peoples that originally owned them. London, finally ready to make her own choices, becomes an active participant in the race to save the mystery of Greek fire from abuse by her father's organization, beginning a relationship with Bennett along the way. London's personal growth paces the adventure story beautifully, and readers will cheer for both the romance and the Blades. (Oct.)

Setting the scene
The third Blades of the Rose book is set in the Canadian Rockies, a place of raw, powerful beauty, full of myth, legends and danger. I wasn't able to travel to this magnificent place, but I did get as close as I could. My husband and I visited Whitefish and Glacier National Park in Montana, which is part of the same mountain chain as the Canadian Rockies.
The scenery was spectacular and incredibly inspiring. When reading about Astrid and Nathan's adventures in the wilderness, picture scenes like these, and you'll be transported--just like I was.
