Home Again
It must seem I am always on the road. Two days after returning from my last trip, I was off again to Indiana to see a dear friend graduate. It just shows that you can do anything you put your mind to and it’s never too late to start a new adventure.
We visited Amish country while we were out there. A really flashy trotter pulling an Amish buggy made me smile. Beautiful farms, even round barns. And green, glorious greens everywhere. I can now recognize red bud trees---lovely pinky-red color. We stopped for a meal and oh my… the blueberry pie!
Still trying to catch up from being gone. Bit by bit. The new book is starting slowly, but that is expected at this stage. Still lots of details to research. I learned about steam ships on the Great Lakes the other day. Amazing how you can not only look up fairs for a specific trip in 1910, but check the dinner menu as well!
Working on the Wisconsin tour. There are still spaces for more venues. Reading groups, libraries, book stores, women's meetings, Sons of Norway lodges, get creative in getting a group together. I look forward to hearing from you.
I now have a plumbed in faucet in the greenhouse. Hot digetty! My roses have never had these huge blossoms before and the snowball bush is the same. Huge blooms. I’m going to spend some time with the new IPhone camera out there tomorrow taking pictures. Got the Easter lilies in the ground today. The ones from last year are popping up. My peonies are starting to open. There are buds on the ones transplanted this spring. Surprise. God surprises me with such delightful gifts.
What has He surprised you with lately? Keep track and remember to thank Him. I ask Him to help me be aware of both delights and struggles, still hard to appreciate both. That's where a sacrifice of praise comes in. Another gift today. A half grown bunny out by the fence along the gravel road. The light shown pink through bunny ears. On our way rejoicing....haven't thought of that song for a long time. A real keeper.
Hugs to you all, pass 'em on.
