Dedication
I dedicated my new novel to my mother. This made her so happy.
Just now, I came home from vacation to a Fed Exed package of two finished books. I proudly showed them to my seven-year old daughter.
We flipped through the pages. She discovered that the dedication was to my mother and not her and she started to cry. I promised to dedicate my next book to her. That only slightly appeased her.
The book is beautiful.

Irina also read and was interviewed. Or, perhaps it is better say, was in conversation with...
I will be in conversation with some incredible writers. Emily St John Mandel, Megan Abbott, Robin Black, Lizzie Skurnick, Pamela Erens, It seems sort of nuts, typing this list, but it is true.
