Well, not really writers block. I have lots of stuff roaming around in my head. Getting it onto paper (even the digital kind) is proving...tricky. I've spent hours and hours getting my notes together for the third Quest book, but every time I try to write, something goes wrong. I have to race out to go help someone, or pick something up for someone. The phone rings, plants need repotting, my husband is out of socks/underwear...the list goes on and on.

In all fairness, I have started SURELY, YOU QUEST! three times now. And twice I have scrapped it and started over. But, you know the old saying "third time's a charm" - version three is flowing better, I think. Except for a few ongoing problems. Case in point: Monday night I sat down to put some changes into the Prologue. I'm typing along and suddenly realize that I only have 3 pages in the file I'm working on. And I KNOW I wrote more than that. Where did the rest of it go? An hour and a half of frantically searching my hard drive, I finally discovered I had TWO different versions of it saved. And I had written new stuff in both of them. So, today was spent getting the two files merged and the final version cleaned up. An important task, to be sure. But no advances were made.

Maybe tomorrow...
