June Read 2018
Hey there Gallerians!
I am back with the June reads after two months. Been literally stuck with updating my other social medias which is why I could not give more focus into my blog. I am trying to manage time fairly but I know I’ve been failing a big time. Yet I’ll give my best. By the way, did you like the last post I posted? Bear with me I’ll come up with interesting post soon enough. For now do check my June Read and do leave your comments.
• Losing Hope by Colleen Hoover. 5 stars
I think the book should be named “Finding Hope” it would have made the content bridge to the title. But then cross title are better too. This work of Colleen Hoover proves one thing that she is extraordinarily gifted when it comes to putting life into love. She makes love sound so sacred. Moreover, the author makes you live through it. I am fangirlling over her work. This book is better than the first one, I believe as the conflict are easier to understand. In first book, Holder seemed the big mystery and getting to unfold it is fun, you know.
• Still Me by Jojo Moyes. 5 stars
Still me, is the third part of “Me Before you”. This is the continuous story of Louisa Clark. I would give all stars for the character Sam. You need to fall apart to fall back together and this book is the true example. We seek for the lost love in the new person who comes but are we ready to accept it that way and how naive can we be to think it would still be beautiful. Falling in love is acceptance of both good and bad and Sam is the purest example for the statement.
• Gold by Chris Cleave. 3 stars
Dreams, competition, friends, family; a whole soup of real life story it sounds. One thing it tells you that we should never run from our responsibilities and competition if healthy is great to compete for. Jealousy is not feeling of competition.
So Much More by Kim Holden. 4 stars
Have you ever felt so much rage towards a character ? If not I guess you should be ready when you plan to start with this book. It will make you maddeningly crazy mad. The thirst to succeed that you literally wouldn’t think twice before destroying somebody’s life. This is about what desperate want of success seems like. Great book.
Confess by Colleen Hoover. 5 stars
If men like Owen exist, I want one. I am in awe how the author has the magnificent magic to make you madly in love with the characters. The perfect man. Confess is such a beautiful fairytale typish story, I tell you. The patience can do magics I guess. I am in awe. Guys you literally have to add this on the top list.
The Hate You Give by Angie Thomas. 4 stars
It might be a boring read at first but this is story of every other black person. This book gives you the first hand feel of what it feels to be right and being proven wrong everytime for no reason. Being treated like you don’t belong, stereotyped everyday.
Do you think adding photos would make it look more interesting? or Should I post separate book reviews that would be much more easier for you to decide which to go first? Would that be helpful? Do let me know and don’t forget to add your suggestions, I’ll surely work on it.
Till then stay in touch.
Cheers,
Mayush
