Hypocrisy

I am a Christian. You don’t have to watch me too closely to observe hypocrisy; I do try, but I am a sinner. My personal demons I guess have at times been a two edged sword.I’ve gotten older, slower, and weaker so too have my “issues”, you should understand that I may have gotten wiser at the same time.Anyway, at one of my last jobs I did not cower and “fall into line” when the vague threats started. It’s not in my nature, even when it is a no win situation. So I listened to this tune (don’t be afraid) cranked too high, set my jaw, and marched into the bosses office, the director’s office, and the corporate attorney’s office and flipped them the bird each and every time.It didn’t end well.My favorite pastor of a church I once went to (a combat marine from the Vietnam era) once said:“without morals and beliefs that one tries to live up to, you can’t have hypocrisy.”It made sense to me then and now.Don’t be the person with no hypocrisy.
