The outsiders are different, and dangerous, as their touch can transform a human into something Other--Teacher was once human. He rescued Shiva from ruthless human hunters set on destroying anything different. It's a lovely tale, the artwork conveying the delicate and touching relationship between a misunderstood creature and a brave and curious child.
