What's your great escape?

All week long people all over the world say things like, "I can't wait until the weekend!" and "How much longer until it's Friday?" Friday...the day of the week that marks, for many people, their two-day escape from work.

The weekend brings new life to some, while it means working overtime for others - like mothers! LOL! I think life is too short to live for two days out of seven. I'd like to know what you do for your daily escape? Do you read, talk with friends, go out, have a drink, eat something yummy, watch tv?

My great escape is reading, though I usually only get to do that after midnight when everyone else in my household is asleep.

Share with me, please! What's your great escape?

Becky I would have to say that my "great escape" is also reading...a book can take me to so many places. The perfect book escape for me is to be on a beach while reading.
But music is also an escape for me, whether it is listening to a cd, the radio or going to a live performance....different types of music can take me to MANY different places as much as a good book can.....

Melissa Foster Music and books..sounds like heaven to me! The only other wonderful thing would be three hours with no people under 5' tall (I have six kids). LOL!

Aaah.. my great escape is primarily spending time with my precious grand-daughter. We begin our time together on a Friday... our first stop is our favourite (as she calls it) book shop (Exclusive Books), next is lunch at our (favourite) restaurant and thereafter horse riding lessons. Saturday mornings I hook up with one or two girlfriends at our local coffee shop (monthly about 10 of us gals get-together for b/fast). Saturday nights my grand-daughter and I go to church... Sundays.. generally my alone time and thats when I read the best part of the day (particularly if I am reading a good book)in-between interneting and doing the odd chores. So ja, this is my three day escape routine... and I LOVE ever minute of it.
