Are you with me for rounding the bend to 2021, leaving miles of bad roads in 2020 behind us?
Typical for rounding the bend to a New Year, the notion of making resolutions for accomplishing a personal goal or dropping a bad habit.
Maybe. Maybe not. This year, having already spent plenty of time self-isolating, I’ve worked on areas in need of personal improvement:
I’ve exercised more.
I’m super organized.
I’ve saved more money by staying home.
I’ve read more, having surpassed my pledge to read/review 25 books in the Goodreads Challenge. I can kiss this year good-bye with 31 books under my belt.
If I thought I could increase my word output by the end of each daily writing session to further advance my Contemporary WIP, I’d resolve to do it. But, it’s not how I roll as my own harshest critic. So, schlepping to the finish line, I am rounding the bend of Part 3, chapter 62 @ 1392 words thus far.
For now, I’m huddling under the mushroom cloud of this apocalyptic pandemic. When herd immunity from COVID-19 is achieved through widespread vaccination, I resolve to live life to the fullest gallivanting, and spending time with family. No two maybes about it!
May each of us round the bend to the New Year with brighter prospects looming in our horizons along unpaved roads ahead.
My sincere appreciation if you’ve read this far.
