A few people have mentioned wanting some familiarity with baseball. I'm actually relatively new to baseball (I started watching as an adult and have only become a serious fan in the past 10 years): I love the game and want to make it inviting and accessible to new fans. A few resources that might be helpful:
Baseball Rules For Beginners: This is a ~15 minute video with a solid run down for how the game is played.
Most of the baseball that occurs in UNWRITTEN RULES happens during Spring Training. Here's a
great overview of Spring Training, including its purpose and its history, done by Ashley MacLennan (who is also a baseball romance novelist who writes under the name Sierra Dean). Her whole channel is worth watching and check out her books
Sierra Dean.
Lastly, Wikipedia has a
good glossary of terms as well.
