Signs, subtle or obvious, are all around us.
This week I noticed subtle signs portending the seasonal transition to autumn. Tree branches relinquished their symbiotic hold on several leaves whose blades lay shriveled on the ground. A large acorn on the concrete walking path I take, reminded me of the squirrels’ instinctive diligence to gather and store food in preparedness for winter.
I welcome the anticipatory signs of autumn which preface colorful foliage, crisp air, and the cozy ambiance instilled in home and hearth from spice-scented candles.
In the capacity of a writer who’s a pantser all the way, my protagonist has given me a sign to transition into Part 2 of my Contemporary work in progress. I’m currently drafting chapter 19 (993 words thus far). If all goes according to plan, I’ll be following her advice in the following chapter.
*Since the universe abounds with signs, may each of us pay attention to interpret their significance. My sincere appreciation for reading this far.
