Trust No one But Family. I Sound Like a Mob Boss.
People often want to know more about me personally. Okay. You asked for it. How about some insight into who I really am? If you’re a fan of mine, you might find this interesting. You probably already know I write about VERY damaged men. If not, you might not care. The beauty of it is, that I don’t care what you think of me, if you’re not my fan. If you don’t get what I’m about to share, you may go screw off because you’re nothing to me. If you’re my fan, I care. So thank you for relating
Are you a trusting person? I am not. My sisters and family have always been my best friend. What I have learned is people ALWAYS let you down. ALWAYS. I’ve literally NEVER met a person outside my family, other than my husband, who didn’t disappoint me somehow. They can call you BESTIE or whatever they come up with, but without fail, they never come through. They always either backstab you or let you down somehow. This is why I never actually trust anyone. I might pretend to. I might be sweet to you and let you think I trust you? But I don’t. Never. I know it is literally a matter of time before you burn me or let me down. I suppose it’s sad to live this way, but not really. I have my immediate family, who I’d die for, and that is good enough. I’m the most loyal person you’ll ever meet, if I care about you. I can count on two hands how many people I care about.
This is probably why I write such jaded characters. They’re always hard on the outside, but soft on the inside. They’re ultimately redeemed through love and trust. (Poor fools) But I like writing those stories. It is fiction, after all. Funny I’m so jaded, considering I am extremely happily married. Probably seems unlikely, but it’s true. My husband is a saint who puts up with my dysfunctional mistrust.
Friends find me, but I never let them too close. It is what it is. I’m happier this way. So this is S.C. in a nutshell. Love me or leave me, I don’t care and expect you to leave me.
S.C.
