The Eidolon is OUT!

The Eidolon is officially out in the wild!

The limited edition hardcover through Rainbow Crate has sold out. Many, many thanks to them for a truly stellar production. I've rarely seen ANY book put together that well. It's an honor to have something I wrote accompanied by such lavish extras like spray-painted edges, gold-embossed hardcovers, a reversible cover with two images, interior art, a glossary, and a map. I mean, damn.

And yesterday, the Audible version -- featuring the exceptional Josh Hurley, the narrator for the main Tarot Sequence series -- dropped along with an eBook version on Amazon.

What started as a modest novella expansion to The Hourglass Throne became a small novel, and explains what really happened to Max, Quinn and Anna while they were Lady Jade's captive. And since Hourglass Throne was my "book of secrets", I saved some of the best series bombs for this expansion book. (I have been waiting since Chapter 2 of Book 1 to share at least one of these secrets.)

Thank you all so much for the enthusiastic welcome to Eidolon. I'm bowled over by the reaction. I've said it before, and I'll say it here: my relationship with readers is one of the unexpected pleasures of being a published writer. I am so grateful for your support and excitement. I promise, it translates to momentum and motivation. It makes me want to wildly exceed your expectations.

And so: back to writing book 4, the Misfit Caravan. The readers will learn things in the Eidolon that even Rune doesn't know; and those secrets are very, very quickly bearing down on him. I cannot wait to share his reaction in TMC.

Be well, friends,
KD

Laurie When will a standard hardcover or paperback edition be available? Amazon only has audio or Kindle. I still like a book in my hands.

The limited edition hardcover is sold out -- that was announced last June. (There is a waiting list at Rainbow Crate, who produced the limited edition hardcover.) Eventually, there will be a paperback version -- probably a couple of months in the future. I'll announce that here when that happens! I also post frequent twitter updates if you're a twitter user -- @KDEdwards_NC.

The main series continues to be traditionally published. This side series is less traditional, and takes advantage of partnerships with subscription book services, Audible, and myself. By doing that, I'm able to control or consult on nearly every production decision, and also eliminate 6-to-12 months of production lag.

As soon as I know about the paperback, I'll post again. I'm looking to partner with a company like IngramSparks, which would allow placement in actual bookstores and libraries.

George Are you aware that all the links at kd-edwards . com fail? Is somebody working on that?

Thanks--I really want to read some of your additional content!

K.D. Yes, and I think everything will be up again soon. I have a new IT provider who is coming on board today. If you check out my recent twitter posts, there are some links to the biggest main comment, too -- I have a backup location on Drive. Thanks for asking, George!
