Back in January, I sat in my office somewhat bewildered.
I received an email from someone wanting to show me their new logo. Apparently”, he had hired a designer for it.
I knew this was not true. I have seen enough digital branding art to know when someone is doing it themselves (I see it a lot with covers too). Canva is a blessing but also a curse in that way, especially to those who aren’t designers.
My son (11) walked into my office, as he frequently does to see what I am working on.
I said, “What do you think of this logo?”
He knows instantly when something does not look good and thus responded… “Where did he create that logo, Kajabi?”
I laughed because we were in agreement, and I knew what he meant by Kajabi.
He was still trying to learn all the products in our online world used by authors and entrepreneurs. And he had heard me mention Kajabi in a negative light in an earlier conversation. So he used that to describe what he was seeing as negative as well.
He knows all the people I interact with and all the products I use. In fact, any time he wanders into my office, he always asks what tool I am using because he wants to learn.
Lately, he doesn’t need to ask though. I am almost always only in one tool nowadays.
And I know he is not the only one to confuse all the different products we seem to need.
