First War Dogs: Slalom between mines, cigarette distribution, and scratch for joy

Imagine trench warfare. The general idea is that in the trenches, soldiers are crouched and pointing their guns at the enemy. But now, try to grasp the reality. They lived, drank, and ate in that trench. The trench stretched for several kilometers, and the army had to make difficult arrangements because its various components were far apart.

At the bottom of the trench, besides the mud, there was some other rubbish, from lead-poisoned water to excrement, and when it rained, the water brought the dead smell from above into the trench. And none of this could have been possible if it hadn't been for the dogs.
