Non-duality: How should we treat others?
Hello, Spiritual Warrior,
Many years ago, the great Hindu sage Ramana Maharshi was asked how we should treat one another.
He answered with just four simple words:
“There is no other.”
At first, that can feel abstract. But this is the very heart of non-duality – the timeless wisdom found in the Bhagavad Gita, the Upanishads, and so many sacred traditions around the world.
It’s knowing that the same life force flowing through you is flowing through me… through the trees, the rivers, the mountains, and the stars.
When we see life through this lens, separation dissolves.
There’s no “me” and “you.”
No “us” and “them.”
There is only One.
From this place, every interaction becomes sacred. Every act of kindness is an offering to the whole. Every breath is a shared breath. And every moment is an opportunity to remember that we are not in the universe – the entire universe rests within us.
Send some extra love out into the world today, and know that it will ripple back to you tenfold.
From my heart to yours,
davidji
