The Gargoyle is nominated for a British Book Award

Hi Everyone,

I think it's just about time that I gave the blog function on Goodreads a try....

In the U.K. there's a television program called Richard and Judy that is quite active in supporting books. At the moment, they're running a ten-week series of shows for their "Best Reads 2009." One of the books on this list of ten is -- hooray! -- The Gargoyle.

At the Galaxy British Book Awards in London in April, the "winner" (although, really, writing is never a competition with other authors) will be announced.

If you would like to cast a vote for The Gargoyle - or any of the other books in the Best Reads category, or the other categories - feel free to head over to this address and mark the ballot online:

http://www.galaxybritishbookawards.co...?

Thanks,
And all the best,
Andrew

Debra Just voted for the first time; good luck! Reading a good book is such a personal experience; the feelings that the story brings out of the reader. There are so many good stories out there, I am so glad that this has been reconized...I Loved It.

Music Girl Well done Andrew! I have just voted. You really deserve to win. After reading your book twice, I gave it to my husband to read. He loved it and has referred it to a friend. My sister is now also reading it. I cannot praise it enough. Good luck and all the best

Tressa I just now saw this announcement and am way too late to vote. But I would've voted for ya, Andrew. It's an honor you deserve, so good look. I goodmouth your book to anyone who'll listen to me.

Iva Pejkovic I voted, so just wanted to say good luck. You really deserve it.
I recently read Zafon's Shadow of the wind and found this quote: Books are like mirrors - you will see only what is inside you.
And that reminded me - The Gargoyle - my mirror in many elements.
Bye, dear Writer!

Donna I can't believe that Richard and Judy selected "When will There be Good News" over "The Gargoyle." Although I liked their selection, it isn't one I would even nominate for a book of the year where "The Gargoyle" is a book that will make it to your favorite books from all of time.
Boo and Hiss to Richard and Judy.

Hy,

I am trying to vote since last night but the site is not working?
Has the voting finished?
I want so much this book to win, that I will be promoting the voting on Twitter!

Thanks, again, for the best book of my life.
Helena
