Daniel Adorno Michael, thanks so much for this detailed answer! I've run into numerous kinds of editing choices and it's good to have a breakdown of each role in the process. I guess from your list, the content editor is the toughest one for me to nail down. I have some writer/author friends who have read my stuff and given valuable suggestions, but sometimes I fear the "big issues" might still be missed. I'll have to be diligent about finding someone who can tackle that and who doesn't break the bank!

Michael Allen Williamson It's remarkable that a man like Michael J. Sullivan would take the time to put together such a detailed answer with so much useful and helpful information in it. I am so grateful for this information and Michael's willingness to share.
