As another Croatian fan, I wouldn't have even noticed this. Now I will notice it forever. Lawd.
Wow! I got my start with the Vorkosigans in Croatia! I was in Dubrovnik for a conference and finished the book I had brought with me. (This was years before e-readers.) I found a tiny little bookshop with one shelf of English language fiction, and on the shelf was Cordelia's Honor. It practically fell of the shelf into my hands. I had no idea how my life was about to change, and I'm forever grateful that my first Vorkosigan was Cordelia. I believe it was fate. Thank you to all the Croatian fans for helping make sure that book was where I needed it to be.
