There's just a very brief reference tucked into the story so not at all surprising that people would miss it/forget it/not know the significance of it unless they'd already noticed the details about Nia in Earth Flight. There are a few interlinking references like that in the stories, which are details for people to discover when reading them, To add to the confusion, some of them refer to stories I haven't written yet. This particular one also links to a short story that's been half-written for ages and I will hopefully finish soon. :)
