Thanks Brian for the link it was reassuring that others felt a bit lost too!

That is understandable Michelle and not a problem either.

153021 I missed it to when I was posting the monthly reads for the group so I felt it to be my error, but I will take us splitting the responsibility.

Your more than welcome Samantha.

153021 I missed a Bonus Read for Non-Fiction in the line up for September.
Here is the read:
The One-Straw Revolution: An Introduction to Natural Farming by Masanobu Fukuoka

153021 BONUS September - The One-Straw Revolution: An Introduction to Natural Farming by Masanobu Fukuoka 200 pgs Harvest Moon is September 7, 2025 for most of the world population.

Call it “Zen and the Art of Farming” or a “Little Green Book,” Masanobu Fukuoka’s manifesto about farming, eating, and the limits of human knowledge presents a radical challenge to the global systems we rely on for our food. At the same time, it is a spiritual memoir of a man whose innovative system of cultivating the earth reflects a deep faith in the wholeness and balance of the natural world.

“With no ploughing, weeding, fertilizers, external compost, pruning or chemicals, his minimalist approach reduces labour time to a fifth of more conventional practices. Yet his success in yields is comparable to more resource-intensive methods…The method is now being widely adopted to vegetate arid areas. His books, such as The One-Straw Revolution, have been inspirational to cultivators the world over.” —New Internationalist

153021 Jen I am sorry that was my fault. I missed that when I was doing the September reads.
153021 That is great Melanie! If it gets to be too much. I will actually just skip that section and at times have just gone to the next chapter, just hope this isnt the case for you.

By the way, I have a cousin who lives in Texas. But he wants to move to Florida, lock, stock, and barrel. He also used to live in Newark.

Was he born in the States?

Não tem de quê, Lesle. Assim que possível, irei expressar-me na linguagem portuguesa. Beijinhos e abraços para todos."

You're welcome, Lesle. As soon as possible, I'll express myself in Portuguese. Kisses and hugs to everyone

I have a friend on here that will type in both English and Spanish and post his reviews in English first (with a divider line) than in Spanish. I think it is really great that he does that. I try to read it both. Will help bring back schooling eventually, I hope!

153021 Rafael
I kind of thought that might be, but wasnt really sure.
Interesting though. Thanks!
153021 Melanie I read your message started to say something than thought maybe I forgot the brutal words.

Im hoping as well this is not the casel. It is not how I look at Steinbeck's work without brutality.
153021 Anisha a wonderful thought but I have found that Goodreads takes forever to do such minor updates.

153021 Happy Sunday everyone!
I was just telling Rosemarie that here in Ohio it has been quite chilly overnight. They are talking about it even getting down into the 30s.

I have turned the furnace on twice now to knock the chill off the house. Luckily once is all that is required at the moment.

Usually I like to wait till October to even think about the furnace haha!

It is a bit cloudy today and am trying to get some things done on my cleaning list. I got the canned cupboards cleaned and organized and pitched some stuff that I will never use.
I have my bedding to wash and maybe two other loads of regular stuff to wash. Hopefully by than the grass will be dry and I can cut the patches of grass that need done. We did get a sprinkling of rain last night. Nothing has been heavy enough to get under the trees which is sad for the grass.

I hope everyone has an enjoyable day!

No worries about the reading challenges. Just do what you feel is appropriate for you. Life has to always come first and I am happy that you are getting there. Best wishes to you Anne, sincerely.
