Smut for the Smart
There's more to erotica than just 50 Shades. Whether headed for a happily ever after or just a momentary happy ending, these titles are good examples of what's beyond Christian and Anastasia.
ETA 9/25/13: Seriously, don't use this as self-promotion for your YA paranormals. I just deleted 25+ titles that were obviously miscategorized. The list is for books with explicit sex in them, books you'd suggest to someone who said "I liked Fifty Shades, what do I read now?"

No Sh*t! Is it the similar? The plot, the characters, the yummy scenes??

Unfortunately, while I made the list, I can't control what people decide to add to the list. So there's a LOT that wasn't originally on here, but people put on there anyway.

The spotlight series is Awesome! Bared to you trilogy is intoxicating, release me by j kenner is also a very good trilogy, break me slowly, is one book and its awesome,, Surrender you love by jc reed is a great trilogy as well!

Actually, with a goodreads librarian status, you can remove books that don't fit the criteria of the list.

Yea, I think you really should moderate this list and take the truly lame ones off (stony creek cowboy, haha). Maybe ask if you are not sure about a book, if you haven't read it? Also, is it possible to add little descriptions without spoilers as to exactly why it is for the smarts and you know different from the typical cliche.

While I'm not one for cowboy erotica, it cranks some people up, and if that's what they'd suggest to others, I'm not going to censor it.

I can not tell you how HOT I am getting just by telling you all

Pastiche of Victorian erotica: elegantly debauched.
Not the for faint-hearted, since features orgies, threesomes and elements of BDSM: wonderfully filthy but beautifully written.

I noticed Fifty Shades of Grey on the list and wouldn't exactly call that 'Smut for the smart' either...
@Jessica
"The list is for books with explicit sex in them, books you'd suggest to someone who said "I liked Fifty Shades, what do I read now?" " But what if I didn't like Fifty Shades, not even a little bit? ..... I've rarely come across a book that is so badly written...
"There's more to erotica than just 50 Shades" Oh yes, absolutely, thank heavens :-)

I have been wondering about some of the titles myself... More and more titles appear that, in my opinion at least, are not meant for 'the smart'.

I agree 😁 but plenty of people would disagree.
