I would love to see Maisie in a PBS/BBC production. Have you been approached to do this? And many thanks for Maisie. I have read every book and although I have my favorites, I love the way Maisie and friends grow with the times.

Wynne, as you probably know, there are a lot more players in the game beyond the BBC, and they are making excellent historical dramas (one only has to look at The Crown which came from Netflix - it has set the standard very high). The books are currently under option by a production company, which is the usual way these things are done, and when any series is ready to be taken to the market, organizations such as the BBC are approached and might be interested. We'll just have to see - but when a series goes into production it has very little to do with the author of the books.

I have just finished reading "Journey to Munich" and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Towards the end of the book you write of your visit to Leon Donat and mention the location of his home outside the village of Shere in Surrey (page 276). Can you tell me why you picked this beautiful little village of Shere?

Thank you for sharing your talent with us all and giving us these books and a world to inhabit together. You convey so much of the psychology involved for your characters which, if we choose, can instill a better understanding of war from a personal view. Our world presently is engulfed in conflicts that overwhelm me. With your view do you have an understanding of how history can still be repeating itself?

The Maisie Dobbs books are the first I recommend to friends looking for a new mystery series. I describe them as up there with Dorothy Sayers in the quality of the writing. Maisie is such a complex character with practicing meditation as well as her innate intelligence, perseverance and above all, kindness. She is totally unselfish. Will she ever find personal contentment with a new love interest?
