Goodreads asked Elysia Lumen Strife:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Elysia Lumen Strife I always write down the problem or question I have that's preventing me from continuing the story. Then I distract myself with something else for a few hours, a couple of days while I mull it over. Exercise helps reduce stress. Sometimes that's enough. Other times I need to work on another book or go explore the world, depending on how stuck I am. New experiences can give your aching brain muscle a rest. And then there's sleep. Just make sure you keep a journal beside you in case you have a eureka moment in the middle of the night. Don't forget a pencil. That's the worst.
When you return and see those questions you wrote down, it makes it easier to remember where you left off, and kick start the writing process again.
