I spent my formative baseball years in Boston--i.e. my college years. Hoops was the family game growing up in Southern California, not baseball, so I came to college without a baseball team in my DNA. Hence I was ripe for conversion to Red Sox Nation, and that is exactly what happened over the course of two degrees and six years. I got to be one of the happy screaming thousands running through Kenmore Square after the 2004 victory, lucky for me!

Hi Kate, I love your Daughters of Rome series and was super sad to learn it is over - it was like watching a tv series you didn't want to end. My thanks for writing these gems. My question is this, with such strong female characters that you craft, have you ever considered telling a story about the Amazons in Ancient Greece or the women who fought alongside their men in Genghis Khan's Mongolia?
