What mystery in your own life could be a plot for a book?

Nancy Lynn Jarvis I live in the country overlooking the Monterey Bay just like my protagonist Regan McHenry does. Periodically the neighbor who lives below me has bright lights on his mostly vacant property in the wee hours of the morning. I'm so curious about them. I wrote "A Neighborly Killing" as a story that solves the mystery of his lights...of course if I'm right and he finds out, I'm in big trouble.
