Finished Confluence yesterday and found myself wondering about why Ean can do what he can do. (Trying to avoid being spoilery.) Will that be explored in future Linesman books? And will we possibly meet others? Thank you!

S.K. Dunstall We talk a lot about this. The 'others' must become part of the story. You can't plant something like that, and leave it dangling. Were hoping to have something in book 3, but the story wanted to progress at its own pace, and we went with it. As far as what Ean can do, and why? We'd like to get some of this in, but it won't be answered in one book. It's part of the development of the storyline. It has taken 500 years to get this far. It won't be answered overnight.
