S.K. Dunstall Hi David
Glad you loved the stories.
Nothing in the near future. We are writing, but for very slowly at the moment, and nothing concrete in the pipeline yet.

Glad you enjoyed the Linesman books. Yes, we are planning on writing stories about other characters. In fact, back in 2018 on our blog we wrote about some of the stories we want to write in that universe. (http://www.skdunstall.com/so-much-to-...). These are still the stories we plan to write (and have in fact been working on a couple in the background) but we need to be able to publish them as well. That's a little harder at the moment.

So we don't have an ETA yet, but rest assured, they will come.
S.K. Dunstall Kathleen,
Not for a while. Book 4 (i.e. Ean's book four) is still just an idea at the moment. We have other books in the Linesman universe that are likely to come first. However, at present, we are writing an entirely different book.

S.K. Dunstall Hi Ines
So glad you like the series.
For the moment, we only have the two books, Stars Uncharted and Stars Beyond, planned.

S.K. Dunstall Thanks, Neil. Glad you enjoyed it.

Stars Beyond, the next book, is due to be published on 21 January, 2020.

S.K. Dunstall Yes. There is a plan. And if all goes to plan, then you will get book 2 next year.
S.K. Dunstall Hi Chantelle
So happy you liked the Linesman trilogy. We do have plans for a 4th book, and hopefully more. We also want to write more in this world, with different characters. If you want to know more, we did blog about this December 2016. Here is the link.

S.K. Dunstall Glad you're looking forward to book 4.

While we do have plans to write more Linesman books, they're not actually the one's were working on at the moment.

Our next book, tentatively titled 'Stars Uncharted', is set in a different universe and it's coming out around August of next year.

If you're interested, we wrote a post about what we'd like to write for the next Linesman books over on our blog.
S.K. Dunstall We talk a lot about this. The 'others' must become part of the story. You can't plant something like that, and leave it dangling. Were hoping to have something in book 3, but the story wanted to progress at its own pace, and we went with it. As far as what Ean can do, and why? We'd like to get some of this in, but it won't be answered in one book. It's part of the development of the storyline. It has taken 500 years to get this far. It won't be answered overnight.
S.K. Dunstall Yes, Patrick. We will see Ean again, but not in the next two books. There is no ETA for the next Linesman book as yet.
S.K. Dunstall Glad you are enjoying the books. Thank you for your question(s). We will put some trivia up about Wendell in this weeks blog. But to answer your questions first. Wendell is currently 39, and was made captain at 32. The average age to be considered for captaincy is late forties and usually attain the role in their early 50's. After all, it does stop any potential career advancement. Wendell's eyes are ice blue.
S.K. Dunstall Hi Joanna
Yes, Confluence will have an audible version. We spoke to David from Recorded Books recently to discuss some pronunciations. I believe they were going to start recording soon. Narrator will be Brian Hutchison once again.

Thank you.

Re Ean’s age. See the answer we just posted for Gena. Ean is around thirty years old.

He was very sheltered. Not just when he was with Rigel, but even when he was a youngster with a burning ambition to be a linesman.

People have commented about Ean’s lack of street smarts, given his background. They ask how can he be so sheltered, given where he comes from? We think it’s reasonable. He’s a kid with a passion--to work with the lines--and that’s all he wants to do. Not only that, he didn’t spend much time with his father, he spent more time with Kairo, the beggar.

There are dreamers in any stratum of society, and Ean was a dreamer.

Glad you’re enjoying the books. Thank you.

You’re right about Ean’s age. He is around thirty, and Michelle about the same age, just tiny bit older. There is less than six months between the two of them.

Radko we think of as somewhere around three to five years older than Ean, no more. She’s one of the younger people on ship.

Abram – when we started the first book we planned for him to be around fifty, fifty five. Although, to be honest, we think of him as more late forties.

Regards
S.K. Dunstall Thanks Iain

Glad you're enjoying the stories.

We have other stories we'd love to tell about the Linesman universe. Not all of them about Ean, but definitely books about lines and the linesmen.

Having said that, the controlling factor is always whether we sell the stories to a publisher. Confluence is the last story we have under contract.

S.K. Dunstall Deb, we have not been given a date for the release of book three. We hope it is around November 2016, but don't quote us on this.
Very happy you enjoyed Alliance.
S.K. Dunstall Jenny, not sure what your reference is here.
If you are asking about book three, then we can only say that at this stage, we can't give any spoilers. Really glad you liked both books.
