Has someone written anything (other than your intriguing paragraph) about Ludovico the bastard son of Andrea Gritti? Will you ever write the back story of the glorious Stanislaw Palewski? Write on.

The Gritti family saga is fascinating, isn't it? A Venetian friend of mine is writing about the Duke of Naxos, another fabulous figure from that era, but I think Gritti is unclaimed. Would you try it? I'm so glad you've enjoyed exploring the Ottomans - and as for Palewski, yes, oddly enough I do have a kind of a plan for his back story. Highly romantic, of course. No question. I just finished The Baklava Club, maybe 20 minutes ago. Finishing your books is always painful - when will I get more of your truly incredible writing. I mean, who can describe a jail cell like you? Reading your novels is like going to a truly good restaurant and having every morsel taste devine.
