I so enjoy your books! I want to go to China and see what you write about! There is a local church that goes on a yearly basis, to establish a relationship with the Chinese people. I've been unable to go...My dream! Where do you suggest a person go to see the China you remember or write of?

I so hope you get the chance to go to China. There are the obvious turist places like Beijing and Shanghai, which have so many things to see. But I would also recommend going to smaller cities like Hangzhou. (My favorite.) Or taking a trip on the Li River.

I am thrilled that your next novel includes one of the ethnic minorities of China. I understand there are many different ethnic minorities within China that are rarely spoken of or written about in the Western world. Can you speak a little about your research process into the Akha culture and why you were drawn to them? Thanks so much!
