So glad you enjoyed TAN! As for other books of mine, "Mistress of Rome" seems to be the one that gets tagged as a favorite the most often among readers. Although if Renaissance Italy is more to your taste than the ancient world, go with "The Serpent and the Pearl."

One of my favorite qualities in your novels is the way each character is presented with a certain love in terms of their mannerisms and motivations. Characters are presented as whole people rather than caricatures or one-dimensional saints/demons. Do you use people in your own life as models?

I was introduced to by a friend and a big fan of yours. I read the Mistress of Rome series and fell in love. I have The Alice Network and I am excited to see how I do with it. I know it will be great, I have always been a person who wasn't the biggest fan of WW1 and WW2 I love the history of other countries and cultures but I feel if anyone can get me into it it is you! Thank you for being so personal w/ fans 2?!

Would you ever write about how Rome fell? Like arrival of the Huns/ migration of the Visigoths, the rise of Byzantium, and the spread of Christianity that lead to the loss of traditional Roman values?…Or how the Roman legions had grown considerably weaker by the time of Constantine and how they had to hire foreign mercenaries?
