Hey Michael, do you have any recommendations for other good fantasy series you've enjoyed? I really like yours, and most of the other series I've tried since yours have seemed too dark. Thanks!

Hey Brad, I'm so glad you have enjoyed the stories...and you are correct the world of fantasy has gone pretty dark as of late, which does it make it difficult to find books like mine around. I'm going to give you a list of things I've enjoyed (some of which will fall into sci-fi as well. Here goes:
• The Legend of Eli Monpress by Rachel Aaron
• Lies of Locke Lamora by Scott Lynch
• City of Stairs by Robert Jackson Bennett
• Blood Song by Anthony Ryan
• The Golem and the Jinni by Helen Weckler
• Uprooted by Naomi Novik
• Red Rising by Pierce Brown
• Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss
• Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson
• Watership Down by Douglas Adams
• Princess Bride by William Goldman
• The Stand by Stephen King
• The Girl with all the Gifts by M.R. Carey
•The Martian by Andy Wier
• Red Rising by Pierce Brown
• Ready Player One by Ernest Cline
•The Goblin Emperor by Katherine Addison
Some of these have some dark aspects but enough "good things" going for them that I still enjoyed the reads.

I read on an earlier post that you actually don't mind tropes. Maybe because I'm a little newer to fantasy I found that I'm not sick of them yet. Do you think other authors are trying way too hard to be different ? And dark ? I should worry about just writing a great story ? Now I really want to try your books . I still like an old fashioned fantasy story .

Hi Michael, Your website doesn't have a section on book order reading? I've searched online and found conflicting info. I'm listening to Age of Myth which I'm thoroughly enjoying. Very happy with Tim Gerard Reynolds as voice narrator, btw. Would appreciate guidance on the ready order please. Thank you.
