Megan asked Heather Demetrios:

Coming from a military family, I can attest to the fact that you did great when it came to the details of the story. I also cried like four times. :) My question for you is, did writing such an emotional story ever "break" you at times? Like you just needed to take a break before continuing on?

Heather Demetrios Oh, man, I'll Meet You There was SO hard to write. I cried many, many times while working on it, just so frustrated about not being able to get it right, or feeling emotionally drained. But I would say the time it "broke" me was when I wrote the last line. I just lost it. And my husband was super worried and I was just like, "I'm just SO HAPPY it's finished!" I had natural breaks built into the process because I was working on other books, as well, and also in grad school. But it was tough, for sure.
