I think the best thing about being a writer is all of the amazing people I've met through the publishing process. As a writer, I was not overly social, and it was never a great idea to talk about the "characters" in my head (LOL). Meeting other authors like me has been so liberating. Suddenly, I don't feel so weird, or at least I've found a great group of weirdos to hang out with.
