Hey Sebastien, I'm reading the Tyrant's Cloak and really enjoying it just as much, if not more than the previous three books. Have you had any offers for movie/TV rights? Any plans of a Graphic Novel? After you finish your 6 books in Spellslinger, what % chance do you give yourself to return to the Greatcloaks? Any plans to do a Greatcloak shortstory or an individual story about Brasti/Kest?
Sebastien de Castell
Hi Jason,
Thanks for the kind words – glad to hear you're enjoying Tyrant's Throne.
To your questions:
Hi Jason,
Thanks for the kind words – glad you're enjoying Tyrant's Throne.
1) Movie rights: talk comes up periodically, but nothing serious yet.
2) Graphic novel: no plans, but would love to do it.
3) More Greatcoats: we're in discussions, so it's a definite possibility.
4) Brasti/Kest story: I've got a short story in mind detailing how Falcio, Kest and Brasti met, but I have to finish writing my current book first!
Best,
Sebastien

Sebastien de Castell:
I read the first two books of the Greatcoats series, but have switched to the audiobooks for the rest of the series as well as for Spellslinger. Was Joe Jameson created in a lab? I can't imagine a more perfect reader for your books. Did you have any say as to who would narrate the books, or was that a publisher's decision? If it was someone else, then whoever made the choice deserves a raise!

I found Knight's Shadow in a store and fell in love instantly. Chapter 1 had me laughing the whole way through. Sold on the spot! I've resisted the urge to read further until I've ordered Traitor's Blade first. I'm a reader with no mercy - on a good day I'll judge a book by its first paragraph, and on other days it'll be the first sentence. So, well done! How do you do it? You sir have just got yourself a new fan!
