How can I get you to read my book? (I should have been at Odyssey this summer, but life got in the way.)

Hey Mark,
The Odyssey conference was great! I was glad to come up for a few days and talk to aspiring writers about their work and the publishing industry. If you can go in the future, I definitely recommend it.
As to your question, many authors want me to read their books, and a lot of publicists send me books of authors they represent. I couldn't possibly read them all...even if I were a fast reader, and I'm actually quite slow. In general, you'll see my name blurbing very few books -- because I have very particular tastes, and I tend to be pretty critical.
But message me your "marketing blurb" and the deadline by which you need a quote, and if it sounds interesting, and my time allows, I'll request it from you. But no promises!! I generally only do 1 - 2 acceptances for every 50 - 100 requests I get ;-(

I read all of the Riyira books, and I liked most of them and it was time worth spent. But, even after a year and finishing all the books in the chronological order, I still am not sure whether Rhen (forgive me if I'm spelling or writing the name wrong; it has been a long time) from The Crown Tower is pickles or not. So, who is he?

Hello Michael, I'm looking into reading your books because of recommendations on goodreads. I noticed your influences include Stephen King who most would say falls in the category of horror/thriller. King is one of my favorite authors and I was wondering if you write a darker fantasy or if they are filled with suspense like King's books? Maybe like the suspense and adventure from The Dark Tower series? Thanks!
