Rini Kirkpatrick
Rini Kirkpatrick asked Laurell K. Hamilton:

Love your books! My question at BookNation did not get picked, so I am glad I have this forum to ask. At the very beginning, before you were a full time author, did you work at at a non-writing job while you were writing, or did you just jumped straight in and became a full time writer right away? Also, do you have a daily writing goal (### words a day whether it is Anita or Merry)? Thank you so much!!

Laurell K. Hamilton I was working in corporate America when I began my first novel. I'd get up at 5AM and write two pages before I went into the cubicle farm. I was so not a morning person at that time, but I was too tired to write after a full day of office work.

Minimum page count for day is four to eight pages. I'll average eight to ten pages once I'm in the groove, occasionally 20 pages if the muse is with me.
