Not being a very adventurous person, I'd have to pick the Shire, from Tolkien's works. Nice, tidy little hobbit holes, lovely views, friendly people. SAFETY… Hahaha!
If, on the other hand, I could choose a place from my own works, I think I might go with the Bahsyr Empire in "As the Crow Flies." Perhaps I could get a job as cook with the new company and see the world… watch the capture of a few not-demons…
