How do you get inspired to write?

Mesu Andrews I need quiet to get inspired. If the world around me is too noisy, my brain gets too noisy to write. That's why the best place/time for me to write is on my back deck porch swing, looking out over the trees and hills of the Appalachian Mountains. Birdsong and my dog's snoring is about the only noise I can handle while developing plot and characters. I go deep into my research and then write for hours. I LOVE IT!
