Hi Kendare! I just finished One Dark Throne, and am so excited for the third (and forth) book of the series! I was wondering you have a favourite queen? Or character in the book?

I don’t have a favorite! I’ve grown to love them all, which is perhaps bad news for me, or at least unwise of me :) As for favorite characters though, I do love Camden the cougar, Hank the rooster, Pepper the tufted woodpecker and now, Harriet the hen.

My sister started reading my books the other day and asked if the queens HAVE to use their gifts to kill the others, I told her no because I mean obviously it doesn't work that way sometimes and not all the gifts are deadly, like the oracle gift. Am I right in saying that or do they have to use their gifts somehow to kill the other queens?

This is not so much a question as a comment? I've gotten a couple people to read Three Dark Crowns by describing it as "what you would get if you locked a Slytherin, A Hufflepuff and a Ravenclaw in a room together". Also, Three Dark Crown is amazing and I can't wait for One Dark Throne. :)
