Hi Mitchell,
I think the background Roman legionaries were included to be evocative of the introduction of Nathan's shield wall. Also, Caesar's Gallic War was one of the early inspirations behind this series, and I think the artist was trying to capture a sense of that. Of course, in the book my shield walls look more like a Norse shield wall than a Roman one, but I understand where the artist was coming from.

Hi John, It's quite common for me to find a book series that I can enjoy and immerse myself in the world, but it's very rare for me to find a series that I enjoy so much that I add it to the group of my favourites. The Faithful and the Fallen is one of those series. I love the world, the characters, and I'm also quite partial to your writing style. So my question is, do you have any other book series planned?
