Hi Stephanie! What inspired the backstory behind Legend?

The song Centuries by Fall Out Boy. I came up with Legend's character and backstory, as soon as I heard the lyrics:
"Some legends are told.
Some turn to dust or to gold
But you will remember me
Remember me for centuries..."
I listened to this entire song on repeat as I wrote out Legend's entire history.
