My answer is to keep writing even if it's junk. When I was writing my book, I had a publisher's deadline so it was easier to keep on task, no matter what dribble was coming out. Eventually, the water runs clean, if you know what I mean? I've fallen off my daily writing practice during the holidays but intend to start again soon. I like having projects. They keep me honest.
