Goodreads asked Awdhesh Singh:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Awdhesh Singh Being a writer is easy. Anyone can write what he or she wants. However, to write what is in the mind of others or what people are waiting to listen is never easy. We are self-centered and see the world from our perspective only. Hence, when we write, others don't appreciate us as their world is different than our world.
Writing is an skill which is acquired with time when you keep writing and accept appreciation as well as criticism. You should not be discouraged by criticism and take it in a positive spirit.
Please understand that writing and writer are not two but one. If writing makes a person writer, his writing is an expression of the self. Hence a writer is often exposing his most sacred thoughts and beliefs to unknown people and baring his soul. The result is love and trust of some people and hatred and criticism from others. Hence a famous writer is also criticized most.
Don't aim only for fame but also be ready for hatred, criticism and indifference.
