Timothy Hendricks
Timothy Hendricks asked Maggie Shayne:

I read your book, "The Brands Who Came for Christmas" for free and I liked it so much that I bought the rest of the books in the series. This book is my first read for 2018. I read your Bio. Nothing in your Bio says Oklahoma. Why was Oklahoma the setting for this series of books?

Maggie Shayne Hi, Timothy. Thanks for dropping by. Two answers, the first series, The Texas Brands, was set in Texas, and one of the characters casually mentioned the rowdy Oklahoma branch of the family. I had no idea why at the time, but it turned out the TX series was my most popular ever, so when I ran out of Texans, I had to come back around and give the OK branch of the family their own series. Secondly, I spend some time in Oklahoma when my son in law was stationed at Fort Sil. There's a new spinoff series, The McIntyre Men, that picks up after Sweet Vidalia Brand.
