I have been approached, but not by anyone serious. My TV and Film agent does a good job of filtering the rights-grabbers from people who have the actual money and impetus to make something happen, and so far we haven't had good nibbles from any of the latter.

Hi Brian - first to gush, I have utterly loved The Powder Mage, having recently read Autumn Republic and going back through the shorts stories it is ages since I found myself so engrossed in so many characters and their world. Question, did any of your characters (I suppose Tamas particularly) draw any inspiration from real historical figures? He always felt to have elements of a Napoleon or Julius Caesar to him.

I was wondering if you can add a compass rose to your maps? Since sometimes in the books you refer to south west or any other direction and it's not bottom left corner as I would assume, since normally north is top of the map, but somewhere else completely, so it got me confused... not sure if it's intentional! But would help the world-building/clarity imho...!
