Hi John Quick question if you have the time So far ive only found the one short story from you (the camlin one in rogues) are you planning any other shorts / or do other shorts exists and would you be up for writing more to bridge the gap between your series ? Also just out of interest you ever think your going to try your hand at sci-fi ?

Hi Marc,
It's great to hear from you. I'm so pleased you're interested in some short stories from the Banished Lands. I have written a few now, and I'll list them here for you:
Better to Live than to Die - in Blackguards, about how Camlin met Braith (this is the one you mention you have read).
An Oath Given - in Legends 2, a tribute to David Gemmell. This story features Maquin, and tells how he met and gave his oath to Kastell.
The Sundering - in Journeys. This tells how the giant Balur became One-Eye, and the giants became sundered into Clans.
The Greatest Battle - in The Art of War. This is a tale about Corban, Storm and the gang set a few years after the events of Wrath.
I hope that helps - I don't have links to each book to hand, but I'm sure I can find them if you would like them.
Most of the above tales are prequels to the Faithful and the Fallen, except the last one, which is set between the Faithful and the Fallen and my new series, Of Blood and Bone. I'm hoping to write more short stories set during this 100 year period.
To answer your other question, I haven't really considered writing sci-fi. I love it, but at the moment my head is full of tales involving swords and shields and Vikings. And monsters. That's probably where I will be heading next. But a little further down the line, who knows... :)
Thanks again for the questions and interest.
All best,
John

Hello Mr. Gwynne. Working my way through Ruin, trying to pace myself. It's not going very well. :) Loving it! Already looking forward to the fourth installment. Will you continue this series after the fourth book? Or do you have ideas about some new stories? I look forward to reading those too!
