Tracy Chevalier Yikes, that is a tough question! I suppose I do write with an agenda. Every writer does. Some hide it more than others, but we tend to write about what we're interested in, and our angle - the way we view the world - is ours. It's hard to write differently. And yes, I'm liberal in politics and social issues. But I am not sure that is going to spoil your reading experience. I would try Remarkable Creatures and see what you think.

Hello, I am currently writing my thesis on "Othello" and "New Boy" in (partial) comparative analysis. I was wondering if maybe there was a specific trait (or tendency of rhetoric) in the role of Iago that inspired you to write Ian and Ian's "perspective" the way you did in your novel? Best regards
