Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Mark D. Trollinger Each of the books in the series focuses on a region and a local monster and local beers. The first book was set in San Antonio and the second one in Burlington, VT. For book three I wanted to use Phoenix as the setting. I live there and the beer scene is really booming locally now. As for the monster, I initially considered advice from a friend and created my own monster rather than using well established ones. But, I struggled with coming up with a story. I stumbled upon a web site of obscure cryptids and found one of them was from Arizona. It was an interesting background and I thought I could work with that. The sightings were over 100 years ago so I will have to take some liberties to make it current.
