SugarPlum M. asked L.C. Perry:

How do you write a book? Do you plan the plot or anything like that? Or, do you just write whatever pops in your head? I'm curious what the best way to write a book is. Thanks! :D <3

L.C. Perry Great question! Normally, whenever I have some idea for a plot, I start writing out the characters. If I'm able to write out characters and plan out scenes as well as adding detail to the plot, then it's a novel I'm capable of writing. If I get stuck along the way, then it may be a novel idea that I have to drop. I always plan something before I start writing and depending on the genre, that can dictate how much I plan out before starting. Nowadays, I also do chapter outlines as I write in order to keep myself organized.
My greatest advice I think is to jot down every idea for a character, scene, plot twist, etc. that comes in your head and see if you can make a story or stories out of it.
Hope this helps! :)
